Devlog #03: April Progress


Hi yall!
Here's a small update on what I've been working on this past month.

I spent the majority of Dev time this april on drawing backgrounds, and I'm still not done with the current portion lol.
The section I'm currently working on is the "Mines" portion, a part of the game that is shaping up to be a really fun and creepy area.



This area is taking up a lot of time, mostly due to the environment being kinda hard to draw, but I'm having a blast with it.
I'm also implementing a new mechanic, currently called "Focussed Lighting"
It'll work something like this:
You can hold a button to focus your light in a certian direction, by shining the light into an enemies eyes, you can deter them from getting closer.
It's currently in the early stages of testing, but I'm already really happy with the result.
I won't show what kind of enemies you'll be using this on for now, but I can't wait to implement this further :)


To keep it light on spoilers and such, I will keep this post short this time around.
But I hope to have some more cool things to show off in the next post at the end of May :)
