Devlog #05: June + future updates


Hi yall!

This update will be kinda similar to the last one, but this time I want to be a bit more transparent as to why the updates have been a bit brief.

1: I've landed a new job, starting tomorrow as I write this.
I've been working hard to make sure I’m ready for it, as I will be taking a 12 week long course, leaving me with not much free time.
I will however still be working on the game, if time allows me to.

2: The majority of things I’ve been working on these past few months I kinda don’t want to, or can’t showcase.
These are either spoiler related, just me bug fixing things, or currently too unfinished to show off.
Currently, the cave section of the game has been quite a challenge to get perfected, you’ll know why when the game releases.


So I’ve decided to slow down these monthly updates for now, BUT! Not to worry, the game is still in development, I’ll just post things when I feel like I have something to showcase.

What I think is important to note is that Wintertwined is a hobby project, and thus I will only work on it if I can and want to.
I still believe in this project, and there is no doubt in my mind that when it’ll be finished, it’ll be awesome!

For the near future the plans are as follows: 

-Make a proper game trailer
-Finish the script
-Work on a new puzzle
-Keep yall posted

Thanks again for reading this, I know it must be exhausting to see these updates flip flop between “Oh yeah, it’s all coming together” and “Oh, no it isn’t” all the time. But something something delayed games better Shigeru Miyamoto quote, you know.
